Your Yarn

Congratulations you have chosen a beautiful yarn dyed with plant based dye. You can expect years of wear from whatever you make. The dye used on your yarn has been chosen to be colorfast and lightfast. But nothing last forever- so to make your color last as long as possible store your yarn away from direct sunlight and hand wash any item you create in mild dish soap or wool wash when you have completed your project. Air dry your item. The first time you wash be extra careful to give your item a good rinse. If you have a red or orange based dye you may see some color in your water for several washes so be sure to wash separately- just like a red t-shirt! Remember your yarn is animal fiber and moths and some bugs will make a happy home among your skeins if you do not carefully store in plastic sealed crates or cedar chests. Basically, treat The Darling Yarn Company yarn like any other fine yarn you purchase. I hope you enjoy knitting with my yarn. If you have any questions contact Christine at thedarlingyarn@gmail.com.
